We are fortunate to have enough fresh salmon to smoke a portion of it to enjoy year round. I prefer our personally smoked salmon for this recipe, but you can purchase canned salmon from the local cannery and it will taste delicious. This salmon spread is handy to make ahead and is a great appetizer when friends gather.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pint smoked salmon (approximately one cup)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3-4 green chive onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 box fancy crackers
Preparation
- Gently blend all ingredients until smooth.
- Chill for a couple hours and serve with crackers.
